Shell Shocked

On the night of my birthday I decided I wanted to celebrate by dying easter eggs with my hubby, if you read the post a few posts down about Easter you'll see that it's my favorite thing to do for Easter. So being that Easter was just about one week away we pulled out the mugs, the vinegar, and folded our little dippers into shape and got to creating! I had to laugh though, when I grabbed the crayons and Kevin took the white crayon in his hand and we both got to work decorating with a very similar theme in mind. Way back when, when we were still dating and on the verge of engagement we decorated eggs together and we had a love theme, the eggs said "KCR loves JT" or "So in Love" etc... But this year apparently we had the same thing on our minds, see if you can pick up just what that was :) from the picture below.

The two pink eggs, the first 2 created towards the bottom of the picture read: "Juli is Prego" that was Kevin's design. The second egg to the right of his reads, "THE FINALLY PREGO EGGO" which of course was mine. I laughed so hard when I realized that each of our first creations of the evening had the word "prego" and were pink! There is a back story behind my egg though, just about 2 years ago on Easter when we were still in Idaho my parents came to visit and I of course, decided we'd decorate eggs. The last egg I decorated that year was my, "I wanna be prego eggo" it had the saying and a picture of a pregnant me on it. I remember not wanting to peel or eat that egg for the longest time for fear that I'd jinx our success. Apparently however, there is a 2 year wait on wishing eggs, so in jovial succession I had to make a statement egg about our miracle pregnancy. The 2 above, one yellow and one blue are obviously a statement about the wonder of what type of little person will be joining the family in November ( maybe October) cast your vote in the entry below!

And here's the whole gang, gathered together for a group shot! We have faces, messages, double dyed eggs, triple dyed eggs, sat forever in the color eggs, and eggs that had a little bit of crack' a lack' in them Now to plan some meals and dispose of their tasty little selves! Muhahahaha

Who wants potato salad? egg salad? Deviled eggs anyone? Thanks for the memories eggies!

So, what are you doing tonight? Why don't you gather the fam together and get shell shocked!
