I appologize it has taken me such a long time to post the pictures from Elizabeth's special day! But here they are at long last. For those of you who aren't sure what I mean when I refer to a blessing day, it is the time in our church when a baby is given a name in the eyes of the church ( similar to a christening without the baptismal sprinkling). In addition to officially being named in church records, it is also a time when a baby is given special blessings that our Father in Heaven intends to help them get a good start in life. The most special part of this day for Elizabeth was not only getting all dolled up in a pretty white dress, but having her family be there to celebrate with her, and having her very own daddy give her the blessing. Most children are two months old when they receive their blessings, but we decided to wait until she was three months old and until after the holidays for her blessing day. She looked like a sweet little angel in her long white gown adorned with lace and pink roses. See for yourself . . .

Can you believe we discovered this beautiful handmade gown at a local thrift store for $3? My mom added a lining to it and made Elizabeth this pretty satin headband to match the dress :)

I absolutely love this picture of her! Unfortunately, I couldn't make the red eye disappear :(

Here's daddy with his little sweetie pie at church before the meeting started.

Heres' the 3 of us together before our church meeting started. Elizabeth was distracted by all of our family walking in the door just as our photo was snapped.

This is Great Grandpa Noel with his great grandchildren. Elizabeth- 3 mos. & Emmett - 1 month

Great Grandpa, Grandma Linda ( Kevin's mom ), Great Aunt Sitha, and Great Aunt Trudy with our little miss.

Here's a close up of Emmett. I cropped his mommy ( my sis in law Cathy ) out of this picture because I thought he was making just too cute of a face! He and Elizabeth are just about 2 months apart, and I hope they will not only be great cousins, but good buddies too!
