We spent the afternoon visiting with my brother's family and my parents dining on ham, rolls, cheesey potatoes, salad and lemon bars. It was a casual little get together, and Elizabeth spent a lot of time with her cousin Kourtney and met the new family pooch ( a lab/ retriever mix from the shelter) named Jake. Well, his original name was Jackson and my brother calls him Jack but I guess the girls call him Jake. Anyway, whatever his name is he's such a good dog and Elizabeth loved him! I am so glad she loves pets, because one day when we are back in a home of our own again we will have another dog. Anyway, we don't have too many pictures of our casual Easter, but here are a few from the day.
Elizabeth layed on a soft blankie on the floor while Cousin Kourtney blew bubbles for her and played with her! Kourtney just loves her cousin!
Grandma Judy brought an Easter surprise for Elizabeth in a little decorated lunch sack. Guess what it had inside? Bubbles, stretchy headbands, a Nursery Rhyme CD, and most exciting of all . . . Elizabeth's very first pair of "crocs" which just happen to be Grandma Judy's favorite shoes! I don't have a picture of her in them just yet, but they are so cute - bright pink with butterflies on them!
She loved, loved, loved the dog! Her face just lit up when he came over, she even got a big slurpy kiss and didn't even flinch. What a good boy, and what an even tempered little girl!
This is me with my nephew Josh. Hoy cow, can you believe how grown up he's looking? He turned 11 this year. Never a dull moment with this guy, he always makes us chuckle with his unique way of looking at life! And the hilarious things he says and does ;)
