Starting Over
I don't know how everyone else feels, but once the hustle and bustle of Christmas is behind us I look forward to starting over in the new year! I think of the future with optimism and hope, and am glad to leave the last year behind me. Every year I have the hope that things will get better, and honestly the past two years haven't been the best. It has to get better right? Things can change and goals can be reached. Everything just seems so possible. We have the whole year as a "do-over". Whatever we flubbed up the last year we can change for the most part. It's a magical change, the clock strikes midnight and you start writing a new date, but it's more than that. We all make promises to ourselves, this will be the year that. . . and it's nice to believe that we can and will accomplish those goals. So, even though I am a few days early I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year! May this be the year for all of us that our hopes and dreams come true :)

I hope you do have that kind of year. Some times things don't go as we planned (in fact, I'd say most of the time that's the case), but I can always look back on the year prior and see maybe things happened for a reason. Teaching moments. So I hope the best for you and I know the Lord will help you understand the why behind the things that don't happen as you had planned. he's been doing that for me too and I'm sure he'll continue to do so.
