O' Christmas tree, O' Christmas tree how lovely are thy branches. . . apparently this is our cat Boomer's favorite holiday song! This was the year of 2 Christmas trees. Shortly after Thanksgiving Kevin and I purchased a second hand pre-lit 7 ft tree ( sorry we don't have pictures). It was only $15 and we thought that was a good deal not to mention it was the type that just folded up - so convenient. It was in fact very convenient and not long after purchasing it, it was up and decorated, we had even purchased a new tree skirt for it. For once it seemed like we might actually be ahead of Christmas, and then ... Boomer, our 6 month old kitten discovered it, and because the branches weren't strong enough to support him in just about 2 weeks time he had permanently bent the lower the branches downward and we were forced to think of a plan B. Luckily, our plan B came to us at a much more discounted price, still from a second hand store but in better shape and just a bit more cat friendly. We, were so excited to find such a great deal, and luckily we were able to repair the branches and re-home our first tree with a family in need. Thank goodness we were able to find such a sturdy and handsome tree, for such a thrifty price, here's hoping we can hold onto this one for awhile and don't have to have a 2 tree Christmas next year!
