The idea of letting Him in, is illustrated very clearly above. Our Savior stands at the door waiting for us to let Him in. Notice, there is no door handle on his side, therefore we are the ones who must open the door and let him into our lives. He stands there, patiently waiting. He knows we are just beyond the door and He knows we may be struggling and hurting. We may be on the other side feeling lost and confused and alone. He wants to help us. He is concerned for us. He knows we need Him, but He is waiting for us to remember that we need Him and we can't do it alone.
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him." - Revelations 3:20
It's a new year, maybe you have made resolutions and set goals to accomplish. Maybe you are cutting out unhealthy things, or trying to work towards a life long dream, or maybe you are just trying to get through some really hard times. Whatever it may be, please know that our Savior, Jesus Christ is not far from you. He is just on the other side of the door, waiting for you to ask for help. I know that if we ask for His help and invite him into our lives, we will be able to see a difference, our trials may not change but our perspective about them, just might.
May each of you, be able to open the door to Him, and find the same New Years Cheer that I've been able to find with Him by my side.
May God Bless You, this new year with the faith, hope, and perspective you need to make it a birghter, healthier, and cheerier new year :)
