Count Down to Ultrasound

I am only 4 days away from my 20 week ultrasound, which means I am half way through my pregnancy already! This coming Thursday, the 16th of June, Kevin and I will also get to see our little miracle in utero and be informed as to whether or not a he or she will be the next addition to our family. We are so very excited! Baby is becoming more and more real everyday, as we feel little jerks and twists on a daily basis and my "belly" is beginng to pop a little more. It's hard to ignore the muscle pains or the fatigue that sends me to bed mid-day for several hours or the increased amount of food required to keep me going. I am finding it harder to bend over or get up from a sitting or lying down position as my center of gravity has shifted. I am more than just me, I am me and baby. It's wonderful! I am overjoyed to be blessed with this little miracle. Not a day goes by without a prayer to thank my Father in Heaven for entrusting this little spirit to Kevin and I. Priorities are already starting to shift to taking care of this little one and putting his or her needs before ours. We are packing up and getting ready to leave behind our basement apartment and looking forward to being in a house again, and (with my nesting instincts kicking in) making it a home just right for the 3 of us!
