What We Need

Sometimes in life we think we really want something, and instead a wise Heavenly Father gives us what we need instead. Kevin has been looking for a second job or perhaps a new job all together for some time now and I have been helping him search through the classifieds and job finding websites for months now, he has applied for so many positions and hasn't had much success. In the winter months the auto glass business really slows down, and his hours get less and less, and so in the hopes of preventing those "less than what we need" paychecks, he really has gotten his name out there and been trying. But it wasn't until last evening when he came home with the news that when it was slow at work he would be sent home that we really decided to kick the job search into overdrive. So, as I usually do I opened up the online classifieds in the paper and to my surprise there was a job that fit all of my qualifications and wasn't going to close until Monday. The hand of God might as well have been pointing to that job listing, and I immediately felt compelled to apply, and leave my house wife days behind me. It was the right time to start looking again. I knew I was going to need to go back to work full time when Kevin started school in the Fall, so I had been looking, but I couldn't have stumbled upon a better fitting job for me. So, last night I made sure my resume was in order and today I plan to go over to the local Head Start office and put in an application. They are looking to fill an "Assistant Teacher" position which as most of you may know is a job title that I held for just about 5 years at the Head Start in Utah. Please pray for me, that if this is what we need, that everything will go well, and that I will be given an interview and possibly a job offer. It has been a hard year living solely on one income, and we could really use this blessing in our lives. We will keep you updated. Thanks for your prayers :)
