Baby Shower

On Saturday, Sept. 10th we had a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of little Elizabeth at my wonderful friend Julie's dad's home. Julie O. planned and coordinated the event for us, and we had about 10 guests arrive to show their support, and some pretty cute kids too! We had a very silly time, playing some baby themed games to start out the afternoon, everyone making a guess for the "baby pool" as to when Elizabeth will arrive as well as her size and what time of day to expect her ( winner to be announced at a later date) and just catching up! It had been years and years since I had seen some of these ladies. The gift of the evening, which I am sure glad to have so many on hand was baby wipes, followed in succession by diapers. What new parent doesn't need a ton of those? Thanks to everyone for coming and showering little Elizabeth with plenty of gifts. I had a wonderful time! Enjoy the hilights below :)

The Gifts

The fun baby themed trinkets that adorned the tables

Us playing some baby themed games

My handsome nephews : Steven, Thomas, and Remington

The Food :)

My long lost roommie Marianne

"Butt Aid" diaper rash cream

too funny of a name not to take a photo

From L to R: Elaine C. and My Sis n' Laws - Cathy, Vickie, Carolyn

My mom's gift to me . . . a diaper cake, complete with a ton of cute baby toys!

I first saw these many years ago and my mom remembered I wanted one

then got on the internet for the directions and created a 1 of a kind cake 4 us!

Emily D. made this too cute blankie for Elizabeth,

along with some boogie rags, burp cloths,

and a receiving blanket too!

Cathy gave me this cute Snoopy overalls outfit,

which just happens to have the red and white

gingham from our wedding and daisies too!

Carolyn gave me this cute Winnie the Pooh denim outfit,

with a flower t-shirt to match! I love the colors.

My friend Trisha gave me some diapers, nursing pads, and

the most adorable pink bunny for Elizabeth, I had been looking

for one to put in her crib, and now the search is over!

Here we are just sitting around chatting before we headed out.

That cute little munchkin is my neice Scarlet, getting

a treat from her mom - mmm Milkyways!

And last but not least here is a pic. taken of me that evening,

it's my official baby bump picture taken at 32 weeks 4 days!

I can hardly believe it has taken me THIS long to actually

LOOK like I'm expecting! I also can't believe how quickly

this pregnancy has flown by, it seems like just yesterday

we saw that plus sign on the home pregnancy test!

But . . . we are SO excited to meet her.

Elizabeth, your mommy and daddy love you so much!
