Ringing in the BOO Year!

What did you do to ring in the boo year? I know in an earlier post I vowed to get all gussied up in a fun costume, and I tried, I really did. In the end however, we just picked up some Halloween T's for $5 and called it good ( there's always next year and the good news is we have it all planned out). Kevin and I spent the evening with my parents. We dined on traditional fall fare - chili w/ cornbread, and treated ourselves to a dessert of cake donuts and cider ( one of my favs). We ended the evening with a little project, that didn't exactly work out as we hoped, but we had fun anyway!

The Mission: Put together a haunted cookie house!

The kit included : colorful candies, orange and black frosting, and very vague directions.

The icing wasn't drying and the walls were falling in.
So we determined this mission was indeed IMPOSSIBLE!
But, why let that candy go to waste???

I told Kevin next time we even considering purchasing one of those kits again, for any holiday, to remind me of just how this experience turned out for us . I honestly don't know how those fancy bakers make these things without glue guns to keep them in one piece.
