Mr. Sun

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am ready for Spring! We've had a lot of back and forth temps. teasing us and there have been some lovely winter days, but nothing compares to spring after a long gray winter, especially in our dark basement apartment.

Today, just minutes ago, I noticed a long since visable friend shining through my window, and not just any window, the window blocked by a big pine bush which usually obscures any type of radiant light in our apartment. Even now, his warm bright presence is illuminating the wall in front of me. It's a miracle!

I mean, I didn't even have to sing the song. You know the one, if you have ever had any preschoolers or happened to teach preschoolers "Oh Mr. Sun, Sun Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me. . ."

As we hurry about our lives, let's not be in so much of a hurry that we miss these little moments or forget to thank God for them.

So, thanks for sending Mr. Sun to me today. After a long dark winter in the basement it was just what I needed :)
