The Fertility Fairy

Now, I've heard of the Tooth Fairy, and Kevin and I are always joking about the Cleaning Fairy making a visit, and I am familiar with many a fairy tale fairy too. For example, Pinocchio had a visit from the Blue Fairy, and we all know Peter Pan had Tinkerbell's magic dust to get him by, Cinderella was lucky enough to have even had a Fairy Godmother ( more wise and experienced I suppose), yet through everything I've heard and read I've never believed in The Fertility Fairy until just recently.

Oh no, she hasn't come and waved her magic wand over me, just every other female person I seem to know. Perhaps she lost my address or I've done something to offend her, perhaps she doesn't even know that I believe in her or know who she is. Pinocchio wished upon a star, and he was made into a real boy. Maybe if I wished upon a star, I could get a visit from the elusive fertility fairy. If only sometimes life could be more like fairy tales. I don't mean to complain and whine, but if the fertility fairy can find most of my friends and acquaintances why can't she find me? Perhaps I should write her a letter.

Dear Fertility Fairy,

What is your favorite sweet? I'll put some on my table, if you'll stop by to eat. I'll make you just as welcome as any other guest, I'll even make a bed for you if you need a place to rest. Perhaps you don't have directions, or you don't know that I'm here. I'd be more than happy to send a map along dear. I'll send along directions, and even GPS, or if you find it easier just look for my S.O.S. I'm getting older day by day, Fertility Fairy please come and play! I'll make you a cup of cocoa, and we can have a chat. Please stop by before I get TOO OLD for all of that.

I'd really like to meet you, and shake your tiny hand. Your welcome to stop by anytime, even if it is unplanned. And even if you can arrange a trip just once and that is all, I'd be forever grateful that you'd even come to call. I cannot wait to see you. I'll be waiting patiently. Thanks for reading this little note, and listening to my plea.

I know you are quite busy and even if it takes a few years, I will just try to be patient and not shed too many tears. It's wonderful that you make families grow and parents grow up too, and I'm not complaining. You do a great job, it's true! It's just hard to be lonesome and see their tummies grow, and know that they get to move on ahead and we get left behind so ... don't wait too too long because I'd really like a turn to become a loving parent and the name of "Mommy "earn. We'll set a place at our table, and when you decide to drop by, don't surprised if I hug you and then I start to cry. It'd be a blessing and miracle, and we can't wait for that day when you clear your schedule for an afternoon and stop by here "Hooray!"

Sincerely, Juli Robinson

  2. You'll make the most amazing parents! I'm sending you good vibes.

p.s. I assume you've talked to a doctor, but if not, go for it! I was SO surprised to conceive my first month on Clomid after three years of trying! A more natural remedy is to just exercise regularly. For some reason, I've noticed I am more "regular" when I am exercising!
